Bamboo Health™, formerly Appriss Health and PatientPing, a healthcare technology solutions company focused on fostering care collaboration and providing information and actionable insights across the entire continuum of care, named Cheston Newhall as its chief of staff, a key member of the company’s senior leadership team.

In the newly created position, Newhall will lead special initiatives and projects for Bamboo Health CEO Rob Cohen as well as partner with other senior leaders to drive the business’ priorities through strategy, development, and operations. The position comes as the company has experienced rapid growth, from 50 to 400 employees in the last five years, with additional plans for expansion in the coming year. The business doubled in 2021 when Appriss Health acquired PatientPing and renamed the company, Bamboo Health.

Newhall comes with experience in fast-growing technology companies with expertise in organizational growth, business development, and go-to-market strategies, in addition to being familiar with Bamboo Health. Over the last five years, he has advanced in multiple roles at Appriss, Bamboo Health’s holding company, most recently as a sales alliance leader. Prior to Appriss, Newhall held positions at TEKSystems and ZirMed (Waystar).

“Cheston has a proven track record of success in leading growth and advancement strategies for technology companies, including most recently playing a key role at Appriss to successfully set up the Appriss Insights business unit for its major acquisition by Equifax in 2021,” Cohen said. “I’m confident his skills and ability to bring teams together for high-quality work will help launch Bamboo Health into its next phase of growth as we achieve our vision to revolutionize care coordination to improve whole person care.”

Newhall will play a key role in maintaining and building relationships with Bamboo Health’s Board of Directors as well as current and future investors, partners, and collaborators.

“I am excited to join the Bamboo Health team, particularly at this pivotal time of rapid growth,” Newhall said. “The company is already helping to transform healthcare by providing intelligent insights for providers, connecting care teams, and innovating for better patient experiences and outcomes. I’m proud to be part of Bamboo Health’s future as we achieve our vision.”

Newhall received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah.
