The Humana Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), has appointed Tiffany Benjamin to head the organization as CEO.

Benjamin will assume the role on Jan. 3, 2022. The organization’s former CEO, Walter Woods, stepped down at the end of June, citing personal and professional reflections amid the pandemic. Since then, Caraline Coats has held the role in an interim capacity. We reported in July that Woods would continue to engage with the Foundation as a strategic advisor.

Benjamin comes to the position from Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical Eli Lilly and Co., where she was president and senior director for social impact.  Read more in Business First.
