HEN Board member David Henley, VP of Compliance at Sunflower Health Plan by Centene Corporation, published an article in the American Health Law Association’s PG Bulletin entitled, “Amending HIPAA to Remove Barriers to Care.”

In 2018, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched the “Regulatory Sprint to Coordinated Care” to accelerate a transformation of the U.S. health care system from a fee-for-service to a value-based system. The focus of the initiative is on removing unnecessary obstacles or barriers to care coordination and case management.
