House Bill 321, an act relating to the revitalization of and investment in West Louisville, has been delivered to Gov. Andy Beshear for his signature.

The legislation, introduced a little more than a month ago by Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, and fellow Sens. Julie Raque Adams, R-Louisville, Morgan McGarvey, D-Louisville, and Gerald Neal, D-Louisville, will establish the West End Opportunity Partnership. It will be a public corporation with the ability to execute contracts, make and receive loans and plan for and invest in neighborhood-driven initiatives in West Louisville, among other abilities.
