Joan Frey is Interim Academic President, Galen College of Nursing, Louisville, Kentucky. She has over 36 years of nursing experience including roles as: Staff Nurse and Head Nurse, Aultman Hospital and Health Foundation, Canton, Ohio; Director, Aultman Hospital School of Nursing, Canton, Ohio; Director, Nursing Division, Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Canton, Ohio; Dean, Louisville Campus, Galen College of Nursing, and Interim Academic President, Galen College of Nursing with responsibility for 15 programs in 4 states, in addition to robust online programming. From 1993 to 2016, she represented nursing education on the national level as a Board of Director member and Executive Secretary of the National League for Nursing, Washington, D.C.
