Adam Blackwell

With more than 10 years of experience, Adam assists health care providers by offering reimbursement and revenue cycle solutions. He has experience with disproportionate share hospital reimbursement, Medicare and Medicaid hospital and eligible professional electronic health records incentive programs, Medicare bad debt analysis, revenue cycle operations and health reform financial modeling of various reimbursement issues for hospitals and physician clinics.
Prior to joining BKD, Adam held a reimbursement consulting leadership role with a regional firm. He also has served as a corporate reimbursement manager for a Fortune 500 health system and was a consultant with an international accounting firm. As a health care consultant, Adam has served hospital providers in more than 15 states, corporate offices for multiple Fortune 500 companies and local independent physician practices.
He is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), including serving as the 2015 Kentucky Chapter Membership Chair and on other committees, presenting at state institutes on reimbursement material and obtaining his Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) designation.
Adam has presented in public and private settings, including for HFMA and as a part of seminars for large international firms and Fortune 500 organizations. He also has been published in business publications and newsletters.
He is a graduate with honors from Lipscomb University, Nashville, Tennessee, with a bachelor’s degree in management with a minor in finance.
