Ken Yale has more than 20 years senior executive experience in entrepreneurial and large healthcare companies. His expertise includes managing teams facing rapid growth, change, and creating breakthrough innovations in healthcare products and services. Dr. Yale has extensive industry knowledge and relationships across many different health care sectors.

 

Dr. Yale joined ActiveHealth in 2010 as medical director and head of provider services, where he helped develop new hospital and physician office clinical decision support tools, and led business development in the new clinical integration and accountable care markets. He was responsible for landing the first ACO for Aetna. He currently leads development of new products and services in population health, predictive analytics, and precision medicine, and is corporate counsel, providing legal expertise and advice.

 

Before joining ActiveHealth, Dr. Yale was chief executive of the innovation incubator business unit for the Community & State division of UnitedHealth Group. Previously, he led a disease management business unit at CorSolutions and Matria Healthcare,  population and disease management companies that were acquired by Alere. Before that, he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at EduNeering, an online health software services company, and Founder and CEO of Advanced Health Solutions, which was acquired by EduNeering.

 

Before building health technology businesses, Dr. Yale had a career in government, which included Chief of Staff for the White House Office of Science and Technology, Executive Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, Legislative Counsel for the United States Senate, and Commissioned Officer in the US Public Health Service.

 

Dr. Yale provides leadership and actively participates in a number of industry organizations, including the American Medical Informatics Association, Bloomberg/BNA Health Insurance Advisory Board, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, International Society of Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research, and the URAC Accreditation Organization. He is an instructor in healthcare predictive analytics at the University of California Irvine, and a frequent speaker and author on health and technology topics, including the book “Clinical Integration: Population Health and Accountable Care,” and co-author of “Practical Predictive Analytics and Decisioning Systems for Medicine.”
