Workforce Supply & Demand: Increasing the Healthcare Talent Pipeline, October 26, 2017

Health Enterprises Network hosted a panel of workforce leaders to discuss initiatives to SUPPLY the Greater Louisville region with the healthcare workers that the region desperately DEMANDS.

The panel included:
Dr. Marty Pollio, Acting Superintendent of Jefferson County Public Schools
Secretary Hal Heiner, of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet
Lisa Bajorinas, Vice President of Entrepreneurship at Greater Louisville Inc.
Jackie Beard, System Director for Talent Acquisition and Workforce Development at Norton Healthcare, moderated the discussion.
 
The panel discussed statewide initiatives like apprenticeship programs and work ready scholarships. Attendees learned about the innovative programming available in Jefferson County Public Schools, which create hands-on skills training for students through corporate engagement opportunities. GLI’s unparalleled research-based strategy for attracting, retaining and developing a skilled workforce, with particular attention to crucial healthcare talent was highlighted.
