The ElderServe Champion for the Aging Award is presented to an individual in recognition of outstanding commitment to improving the lives of older adults. This year’s Champion for the Aging Award goes to Dr. Keith Knapp.

Keith R. Knapp, PhD, CNHA, CNA has dedicated his entire 36-year career to enhancing the quality of life for older adults. Organizations he has led include the Episcopal Church Home and Christian Care Communities.  Today, Dr. Knapp is on the campus of Bellarmine University where he is an associate professor leading the school’s first-ever undergraduate program in health services and senior living leadership studies with the Lansing School of Nursing and Health Sciences.  Other recognition for his accomplishments include: the University of Kentucky’s College of Public Heath’s “Outstanding Alumnus of the Year,” and two with the American College of Health Care Administrators the “National Distinguished Administrator of the Year” and “National Distinguished Service to ACHCA Award.”
